So, doesn’t it make you feel stupid when everyone in the world makes tons of affiliate sales except for you?

Oh yeah, all you readers make tons of sales too; it’s only me that can’t make a sale.

I guess it’s time to learn what I’m doing wrong.

This is how I understand one method of the main aspects of affiliate marketing:

a. You find a product

b. You get a copy of said product (often you can get them for free just by asking)

c. You use the product then write a review of it.

d. You post the review online.

e. You write it up in your ezine or just begin sending traffic at that page.

SOUND OK?

Now, I can tell you all the reasons why this would never work for me, but instead of being an “impossibility-thinker”, I’m going to try to make this work.

First things first, I gotta find some product to promote in the self-help niche.  I have 14,000 subscribers on my list.  You ever hear people say that you should be able to make $1 per month for every sub you have?  I’d love for that to happen to me!!!!

I get close to 10k page impressions per day to my self-help site and have made one affiliate sale in the last 4 years (netting me $5).  Obviously, I’m doing something wrong.

You know what my big hang-ups are?  Finding the “right” product (I’ll find one on Clickbank) and the next is writing the review.  Man!  That means I need to read the book or use the product.  I just don’t have that much time.

Ok, there I go being negative.

How do all these people on the forums and podcasts do this stuff???

I’ll keep you posted…and if you know any good self-help products that are easy sells, let me know.
