It’s strange how quickly I can go from sucking at Adsense to suddenly successful.

Of course you see the irony of a blog based on my failures that may become based on my successes?

Anyway, see back a couple posts and you’ll find me lamenting my terrible luck at Adsense.  All of sudden, in my crappy self-help niche where I have a site hovering around 10,000 to 14,000 pageviews a day, I have started making ok money.

My cpm has doubled and some days tripled.  I may finally hit my first $1000 month since starting to study IM 5 years ago!

My change?  All I did was put my ads at the top of the page…the same thing everyone else in the world does except for me…until now.  Clicks have doubled too.  And I just find it funny & strange that my cpm would go up simply because my clicks have gone up.  Very weird.

Well, I’m starting to roll this out to all my other sites.  I’m thinking of duplicating all my traffic generation efforts on one of my other sites to see what I can do with it.  I have some sites with low traffic, but they average $20 for every 1000 pageviews…which is pretty good; better than what I make in the self-help niche.

Imagine if I got one of those sites up to 10,000 pageviews per day!

After that, I know I have to eventually learn how to make money with affiliate sales…since I completely suck in that area.  And product creation…I have to do that too.
