Multiple Subscription Methods: Cool or Confusing?
In my main niche, I offer blog updates via RSS and a Feedburner sub form. I also have a Getresponse autoresponder sub form with which I send out an ezine-style mailing…which also points readers to my blog.
And now, to top it off, I also send out multiple tweets via Twitter.
Is this all cool or confusing? Is it cool that I pick up readers in whichever way they want to engage? Or will it confuse the heck out of them?
I figure it can’t hurt to have multiple ways to talk to the same people…although I’m sure I have very little overlap.
Wanna get even more prolific? Imagine if I were to expand my channels on youtube and also podcasting and ebooks?
Then I’d have all these communication methods referring to each other and perhaps after the dust settles, my audience could decide on the one method they like the most.
Or it would confuse them and scare them off.
Or maybe my own confusion will just keep me spinning my wheels forever in failure? Anyone reading this care to share an idea of a rational progression of audience eyeballs *through* multiple channels for a definite purpose & end goal?
