How To Lower Your Bounce Rate
Lets talk about how to lower your bounce rate.
But first, let me laugh a little. Ha, ha. Check out this post title! Now check my previous post. I thought I’d try to be a little successful and less of a failure. But hey, I don’t plan to get any links to this post, so I doubt it’ll rank!
Basically, I am trying to lower my bounce rate these days…but on my main site that gets 1000 visitors a day. I was down to about 36% bounce rate but it’s up to 41% in January. What’s up this month?
What I’m doing is, I want to experiment by putting a navigation link in the middle of my content. Yup, right in the middle.
I got a better bounce rate a few months ago by putting a link at the bottom of all my pages, just at the end of the content, not in the footer, and it helped a lot. I think that most web surfers don’t really care to look in the headers, footers, or even the sidebars. You have to interrupt the patterns of surfers. I think. So that’s what I’m trying.
Secondly, I’m going to remove a few of my Adsense ads from that site, which I have also done in the past. This move also helped my bounce rate.
I’m just looking for ways to give my visitors an excuse to stay IN the site longer.
Why don’t you try the same? Feel free to comment!
