This blog has been created to document my dismal failures at internet marketing.

I know a lot about IM, yet I’ve never made more than a few hundred bucks in a month.

Sound familiar?

HOW CAN YOU LEARN FROM ME?

I will point out all the things I’m doing wrong, and then you can do the opposite.

For instance:

  1. My design of this blog sucks.  I can’t create logos or find that super-theme that everyone uses.  I don’t even know how to add in those 125 x 125 ads that you see on all the big guy’s blogs.
  2. I rely on Adsense.
  3. Poor calls to action.  I don’t have my RSS or autoresponder set up yet for this blog, nor do I have a freebee to offer you.
  4. I’m boring.  Yes, you’ll find no copywriting here.  I’m just not into it.
  5. No affiliate products to review for you.  You know what?  After 4 years of active IM work (but I’ve been reading IM ezines since 1997), I have only made one affiliate commission for $5…and I don’t even know if it’s been paid out to me.  I see all these people making $1000/day (or whatever…some ONLY make 10k/mth) promoting aff products and I have no idea how they do it.
  6. Not telling you who I am so we can build rapport.  Yeah, I should talk about that stuff.  One day.

I could go on, but I really only wanted to get this blog started so I could pychologically prepare myself for this new project.

BTW, I *AM* somewhat good at SEO.  I know some good stuff about it.  However, I’ve done no keyword research for this blog, so I don’t know what keywords I’m going after.
