Fail With No Subscribers
Not having easy ways for visitors to sign up for an ezine or RSS subscription is a great way to fail.
Notice how all I have is that “Grab our RSS feed!” thing at the top? Most people still don’t know what RSS is.
But I’ve seen blogs that have very easy-to-see RSS subscription areas. I’ve been searching for a plugin for that for a long time. And if you look on Feedburner.com, the stuff they have there makes no sense at all.
On one of my blogs, I have a Getresponse.com plugin for my sign up form, so that’s cool. But that leads me to a question:
Should I have an ezine sign-up form or an RSS sign-up form or BOTH?
Even then, I give you visitors NO GOOD REASON to sign up, right? That is an amazing way to fail. Don’t try it.

This is an update: I FOUND OUT HOW TO ADD THE RSS SIGN UP FORM FROM FEEDBURNER. So I guess this post is useless now.
