Lamenting My Struggles and Failures
I’m working on all kinds of things, like usual. That’s why it makes me wonder: was my main site Google slapped because of things I was doing or because of the Panda update?

Just when I was getting good at breaking away from failure, I am stumped again.
My traffic WAS up, my Alexa ranking was down, my earnings were climbing higher every day, them BAMB! Off page one for my toughest keyword.
Now, there’s nothing new about docstoc and scribd, but I’ve been posting my ebooks (public domain stuff) on other doc sharing sites, and I’ve noticed a boost in my rankings.
You know when you get to a new site, you can tell within a few seconds if that site has a “soul”?
Yeah, me too.
It’s strange how quickly I can go from sucking at Adsense to suddenly successful.
Of course you see the irony of a blog based on my failures that may become based on my successes?
I’m a big Foursquare user. For those of you who “don’t get it” yet, see below:
Rule #1 about social marketing:
My Adsense earnings have been dropping since November or December (2009) and it’s really bugging me.
I used to make a good chunk in my main niche (self-help) but especially my earnings per thousand have dropped dramatically. Even with roughly 2000 to 6000 more pageviews per day, I still make less than what I used to make.
Boy, what a failure I am.
I got kicked off my web host and my list host in less than a 30 day period.
I’ve read a few awesome posts on the Warrior Forum that say you HAVE to try out affiliate programs before you refer them to your list, followers, blog, etc.
It’s funny. I have another site that got into DMOZ years ago without even trying. I didn’t even submit it. The only marketing I did with it was submit it to local directories since it was a locally-based site. Hmmmm….
